The Importance of Humour in Design

I've been struggling to come to terms of any design situation where we can be fully inclusive while being humorous. If you're going to use humour, it needs to be in an environment where you have trust and you know who you're talking to. And they already have confidence that you are who you say you are so that the joke perhaps has a strong foundation. I mean, is there, can we really say that this joke in English is going to be universally understood and universal? Yeah, absolutely not. Because we're presuming a certain understanding of English.
