i think gun culture is built on this kind of, for many white people, it's built on this myth of fear. And i think for very many people who do own guns, that, you know, a fear, it really is a myth. It doesn't, it's not real fear. E ah, but what about the people a who do have legitimate reasons to fear? Yes. I for youfor a significant number of people, it is, you gun ownership is associated and articulated in terms of self protection,. despite the fact that the statistics regarding gun ownership and riskof being killed or injured by a by gun are actually higher than they used to be.
