OCD Depression
With OCD, depression can be a spike in and of itself. The depressed person doesn't think, oh my God, am I depressed, that would be horrible. With an OCD depression, the depression is the fear. That person with an OCD depression reacts with a desperation to undo the legitimacy of the thoughts. Whereas the depressed person will have the thought, my life is miserable and they'll just own it as their reality. And so you get a very different feel being in the room with an actual depressed person than you do with an anxious person who's anxious about being depressed.
