The Origins of the Occult in the Church

The origin of this idea was when I was listening to an exorcist give a talk on the occult in the Old Testament. When our Lord established the church the world was fighting the kingdom of Satan and that just Changed my whole perspective on scripture. It's interesting what the catechism says about The occult, it categorizes Or puts the occult under offenses against the third commandment That you shall have no other gods before me.
