Why Do We Still Make Art?
I was just speaking to participants in my workshop and I put this situation to them that how often do we think that maybe one out of three drawings we make are going to be just absolutely terrible? And many of them also still had exact percentage of bad drawings in their minds. The fact is that if you have a problem with the things that you make that are quote unquote bad, you don't understand what bad means. Bad doesn't actually mean anything. Bad is a mistake. Mistakes are actually lessons. If every drawing you did was like, man, that looks exactly like it would be like, what's the point?
