Cecilia Payne's History of the Universe

Cecilia Payne was one of those scientists who had to go against the grain. The idea that she was putting forward that most of the universe's hydrogen was anathema. She studied with Eddington at Cambridge, who was one of the greatest stellar astronomers. Using quantum physics, she determined that the stars are actually 98% just hydrogen and helium.
