Introduction
The word culture has no us. As frequently as it is in our own time, it's no country, no association, no body of persons, no nation, no group, but has its own culture. I mean, the number of associations for the purpose of promoting culture, paying culture, defending culture are very great. All these things have become almoys, a kind of trade mark. The sense of culture which i have just spoken is one which is presumably to be distinguished from disorganized life and individual existence. What they have in common is that they are both distinguishable from raw, untutored nature. If the word comes from cultura, i suppose you would let in
