The museum was founded by a group of local ladies. They entered a competition to write the history of their village. And in doing so, realised that it hadn't really been recorded before. This cabinet has got flint-walled pistols and claymores and tardges. That's a spittle-filled silk dress dating from the 1740s. Where did you get it? It was actually donated by a local family.
