The Divergence of Central Asia and China

Kazakhstan has the deepest relations with China on one hand, and those are very much built on economics. Kazakhstan is essentially first among equals when it comes to relations with China. Kyrgyzstan was the only country in its bilateral sort of joint statement to really go hard on Xinjiang. The Kazakh president opened Kazakhstan's third consulate, I believe, in Xi'an during this trip.
