There's a tendency to try to attribute all of the decline in marriage incidents to working-class men's labor market struggles. But evidence suggests that some of it over the past generation or two is due to women's greatly improved economic prospects on their own. The decision to sort of like allow offshoring of relatively labor intensive manufacturing was a deliberate policy choice, right?
