How to Prevent a Fall in the Emergency Department
"It's important to recognize all those things that can go into a fall so that we can address them where possible in the ED," she says. "We might forget to ask, oh, was this actually a stroke? Did they have a seizure?" She continues: "When we only focus on the outcome of the fall or the injury related to the fall, we're not addressing all the other things that could help them prevent a future fall"
