The Effects of Stress on Descriptive Memory

Non declarative memory refers to our ability to learn about cues our environment and their emotional and motivational significance. Declarative memory is supported by a sea horse shaped region of the brain called the hippocampus. Extreme levels of stress experienced during torma have very different effects on these two structures. This means that under the high levels of stress formands that are experienced during toma, we are not storing the specific details of what, where and when. But if you can ride a bike, you do have the answers, just not consciously aware of them.
