The stable, flat Phillips curve structure that people had thought they had seen between 1995 and 2020 vanished into thin air in mid-2021. It's my untested hypothesis that adolescents who read a lot of science fiction are more likely to grow up to be economists. I was an early Heinlein fan to an extraordinary degree. And I had a soft spot for Isaac Asimov, but much more for his science rating than for his science fiction.
