I came from a background which is non-traditional. It would be given to me by the state. I don't think it's right that if you have money and advantage, that you have an opportunity to do things that others don't. Of all the vulnerable members in our society, the child is the most vulnerable. So I'm a child abuse legal aid lawyer because I think it really matters. And therefore, despite stresses and strains, I do it day-to-day now. But when we are here, it's because we genuinely think that what we do is important.
