What Is Afrikana Philosophy?

The term Afrikana philosophy has only been in common use since the 1990s. It is arguably the oldest philosophical tradition of them all. If Africa is where we became what we would now recognize as humans, there is good reason to think that Africa was where we first did philosophy.
