The space of universes in which complex life is possible is teeny-tiny. So the question is, why do we exist? Is our universe a highly improbable event and so improbable that it's indistinguishable from zero? If there's a multiverse with 10 to the 200 universes, then that one of them is compatible with life is actually probable rather than being extremely improbable. But observing our universe does not make it more likely or less likely.
