Courtly Love and the Lady in Waiting

Just wanted to delve into a bit this this concept of courtly love because it i think it's such a rich con vehicle for exploring all of really everything that we've discussed today. The lady in waiting or what have you would perhaps give the night a favor of hers to wear in battle or perhaps an joust which I think can be read as this symbolic exchange of yeah of obviously love can't be quantified desire can't bequantified by a stripped measure right but this is a sort of acknowledgement that's the beauty of symbolic exchange  is that it acknowledges the contingency of these positions.
