I think one of the things that can be really challenging when it comes to trying to figure out why you feel really uncomfortable with a partner in a relationship is when on the surface they seem like the quintessentially nice guy or nice girl. And maybe because you yourself are quite critical of you or you are aware of where you are so flawed, and it feels maybe on some level as if they've not rescued you but they're adding so much more to your life.
