An article in the gospel coalition takes a principle from the scriptures and applies it to how we tend to over-optimize our time. The author points us to Leviticus 23, 22: You shall not reap your field right up to its edge, nor shall you gather the glee-neens after you harvest. There's this idea that don't use up everything in the land because you wanna leave some at the edges for the folks who are down on their luck or just traveling through.
