Is There a Difference Between Male and Female in Scripture?

There are more metaphors in the tradition that present God as male, than there are metaphors that present him as female. The locus is, again, the incarnation, and what do fathers do? Fathers cause the birth of a child. And I think that's how humans knew to use that language for God. It's because Jesus said, I have a father. Now, this is non-sexualized. But God is still father because God causes the birth of this Messiah.
