The Domestic Horse and the Sack of Butter
The domestication of the Dom II horse seems to be happening late third early second millennium BC. By the time we kind of get into the late third millennium, so again, within a few hundred years, which in ancient times is fairly quick. We get the Shintasta culture, which again is coming from the southern yurals. They have chariots, they have chariots in their burials, they have horses in their burial. So the way in which the horse incorporates itself into culture, the domestic horse seems to happen very quickly.
