The One 80 Rule
Bryan says he has students write a story for their final project. They also do silhouette studies of films to learn about composition. He uses the 'one 80 rule' which is an invisible axis that travels through your scene. The camera can only stay on one side of that action, otherwise it will disorient its audience.
