Is All We Can See Is Energy?
All we can see is energy. We like to think that it's a faithful representation of the world around us. But whatever is out there, more clearly described as energy than as matter in and of itself. The only way we can perceive it is because energy is entering our eye an exciting cells on the back of the retina. And so if you've ever been ina deep cavern om and shut off any sources of artificial light, you will experience this. There is no visual perception whatever. So it is energy that we are seeing, and only energy. Even if we're looking at an object, a luminous object, that is emitting that energy, it's the same situation. It
