The Advantages of Zirconia in Dentistry
Lithium disilicate started us down the path is we have stronger materials that we can do in smaller dimensions. Now I don't know that zirconia right now is going to be an equally great material for an onlay. It's a hard material to marginate in the mouth and adjust. But the concept of we have a stronger opportunity that needs less thickness to give us the recommended strength is a really powerful concept if you look over the last 20 years of what we've been doing. We're sub 1 millimeter and talking that that material may not fracture at all.
