Supernova, first of all, are very rare. Like we think that maybe one in every few million stars will go supernova just because massive stars, big enough to have this happen, are pretty rare. A star needs to be a certain size for it to go supernova. And our sun and Proxima Centauri are not qualified for supernova status. So really, the danger zone is something like 25 light years. Anything further away from then 25 or 50 light years is so far away that things are not going to be so dramatic.
