There are no real fitness gains, strength gains or adaptations that you get in those last days that become without a cost. So I always used to come back to the question, is this replenishing or depleting? And sometimes when you deplete the outcome is, you know, or what you're after, it's worth the risk. But I just think of tapering, you always err on the side of caution physically and mentally. You're trying to prime the system for a big effort, but not deplete it and feel good mentally.
