The Health and Performance Benefits of Caffeine
Caffeine has been shown to block the adenosine receptor which can improve wakefulness and alertness. Some studies show it modestly increases maximal strength but you have to get the dose pretty high for that. For me as a 95 kilogram person, I'm going to need to be close to 500 or 600 milligrams of caffeine at a dose in order to get those benefits.
