The brands that maintain their spend, do a little bit better in the recession. And there is an inarguable case, there is 100 years of data to make exactly that point. Even Erenberg Bass, who's motto, as you may know, is if it's not invented here, it's a bag of shit, even they believe in the SOV. I think too many marketers try to justify investing in marketing by using their own kind of internal trajectory and data and everything else. It's very difficult to do. You have to look at the empirical data from other similar industries and brands.
