David moody: Is there a sense in which questions raised, or is it because your brilliant people are extrapolating this? In the first three poems of this quartet are answered in little gidding. And if so, what ae theyould put it slightly differently, that as he works through these three patriotic wartime poems, he's developing thought. He moves towards explicit affirmation of the meaning, but he hasn't yet incorporated into a way of life. The transformation here is to bring in explicitly religious terms, annunciation and incarnation. That death becomes an enunciation of a different kind of ending, the ultimate end.
