The University of Michigan's Undergraduate Admissions Policy

In the late 90s, University of Michigan had a point system that they used for every applicant. Each grade point was worth 20 points toward admission. The best chance to get points was your GPA. If you had a 3.5 GPA, you'd already have 70 points toward 100 needed to get in.
