The Importance of Sleep in Overtraining

The body has this tug of war between activity and rest, activity and rest. It kind of needs the two to recover to fully replenish the muscles as well. Sleep does make a huge impact on the level of hormone production,. Growth hormone, ghrelin and leptin regulation which is obviously around fat stores and appetite. If you're not getting enough sleep, you'll crave sugar, you'll eat that sugar,You'll gain more weight because your cortisol levels will be elevated because you're not sleeping. So there are ways to reverse that, and one of those ways obviously is to intentionally get seven to nine hours of sleep most nights a week.
