The Relationship Between Desire and Girard's Theories
Girard thinks most of the times we sort of bought into the lie as well. And that's why the desire seems to be pointed at the object. We take a sugar pill and because we believe so much in the story, we trick ourselves and it makes us feel better. It's an interesting connection. I'll have to know on that a bit more.
