"Grief is such a complicated and terrify ying experience to carry with you," she says. "I can't even imagine what it would be like to lose a lover, somebody who was sort of imbedded in your blood." How do you integrate that kind of grief into life? Is it something that you can think about without pain, ever? Sometimes. It takes a long time to matabilize, if if at all.
