Are There People Who Lack the Concept of God?
I think it's virtually undeniable that there are people who lack the concept of an omnipotent, omniscient, perfectly good deity. And that is what Schalemberg calls the concept of God. But one of the things I try to do in the book is say, it's not the only concept ofGod. Something can count as a concept of God, basically, if God's the best candidate for satisfying it. It seems just speculation whether there have been people who've had no concept that, in fact, applies to God.
