Vladimir Putin almost never fires anyone, unless you're disloyal. He seems to go to great extremes in that regard where he doesn't hold anyone accountable. In part, it is a primal sense of basically, if you make it into my gang, then that's it. I've got your back. The only person who's made it into Putin's inner circle isn't either a KGB buddy or a St Petersburg buddy.
