There a few things are at play. They do come from a carismatic tradition. We love a star, just like culturely, especially in the united states. And these pastors position themselves as stars. It all reeks of late stage capitalism, griping on business of religion. So that is the prosperity gospel, even if they're packaging it a little bit differently.
