How Do You Know When Yoshi Is Finally Learning the Trick?

Yoshi often, when you're trying to train her, will try anything. Usually she looks at you and cannot figure out what you want. How do you know when she's finally learned the trick? That she does it consistently. This bird says my name, so I think it means mine.
