Is There a Future in Competition Policy?
I think our competition policy, or if you like, our regulatory structure in the new economy has to be rethought. I don't think anyone can be very happy with how these entities are working. So that's one example. We have to rethink what we're doing and that is beginning to happen very encouragingly in America. State funded deep research will also help generate more growth. A lot of that is going to be in infrastructure. But another joint area is increased spending on scientific research.
