Hansel's Story of a Child in the Woods

Hansel and gretel were taken to the woods by their mother. She said they would be able to find their way back home when the moon appeared. They walked through the entire night, from morning until evening. But they could not find any crumbs for the many thousands of birds had picked them up. At midday a little snow white bird sang so beautifully that they stopped to listen. When it was finished, it stretched its wings and flew in front of them.
