The crisis was less about the nature of the asset class, or the assets themselves, but more about the level of immaturity of market participants. The idea that you have to go through an S1 listing process in order to have any security, it takes you months and costs you millions of dollars, has to be taken away. There's so much opportunity to start creating new financial products that just move at a different speed.
