Jeff Yang: It's been both a little frustrating to feel like the script is more broken than I thought it was, but also kind of heartening to feel like I'm quicker to find solutions and just a lot of my scenes were just so long. He says when we're not as emotionally connected to something we've written and we put it away for enough time, we can come back and be like, oh, there are parts here that work.Yang: Once an idea is brought into the two of us, it doesn't stay forever. And anytime one of us bumps on something, it isn't immediately that it gets cut and changed.
