It was an intentional decision to not use server side rendering and and whatnot. I think there are some things that multi page applications can do for example if you have an intercom button at the bottom of your dock or some kind of a chat widget if you navigate from one page to another it's really annoying if the widget resets itself. It would be still a bit complicated to replicate the the user experience of a single page application for multiple use cases including the the chat widget we have on under the documentation website for v2.
