There is a linguistic and cultural barrier between china and the west that leads to a frequent misreading of events, intention, statements. I think it's quite symptomatic of a sort of ensity to jump to worse casinario sometimes. There was a real focus on assigning culpability that started from a place of suspicion. It seemed to me that just wouldn't be there if the virus had originated in norway or france. Do you think this is a rod that china makes for its own back, to an extent, by being secretive? Or is it a case of the west's pre existing suspicion, just looking for confirmation, bias, basically? Is it both? Yes
