Replicating Scientific Projects

There is no way of verifying that they actually did what they claim to do. Oftentimes, you would have to go to the original authors and it is not high chance that they would help you. The current standards of detail in the reporting of the scientific papers in Psychogica Science is not high enough so that people can exactly replicate a scientific project without contacting the original authors. Are there now formal schools of thought around better protocols?
