Most byzantine liturgies hav there is the english language. It's being translated. If if i had to go to a ruthynian byzantine church and it was in a different language, i wouldn't be attracted to it in the way that i am now. So vernacular, i mean, i think it is something that er does help some people to encounter the mystery of what's taking place more directly.
