The Spider's Eyes Twinkled
"I imagine now that my eyes twinkled when she looked up at me," Wayne says of a spider he saw on Lake Ontario. "With how she looked around, with obviously her really good vision, she felt more like a little cat thanlike a spider." There must have been a moment about 600 million years ago, where there was an ancestor common to both the author and his spider.
