CD: When we engage in a certain behavior, it can be really healthy. He says there's something happening internally in the brain circuitry and it's causing distress. OCD is an anxiety disorder where people get hyper focused on that small percentage of the possibility that something could happen. CD: A person with OCD will recognize that yes, maybe my thoughts are really catastrophic or maybe they might not be true, but it could be. So let's talk about healthy avoidance.
