After a certain point, people still expect that you will not just ghosts on them. The exclusivity in relationships means that it was satisfying for that person to see you three times a month for a period of time. But now if you want to step back and see him once every four months, they're like, woa wo. I need to go get this somewhere else. And it's just not the same in friends. You don't mind if he goes surfying or eats to lunch with someone else. That's just not present, yes.
