Is Soil Carbon a Biomarker for Soil Health?

There's a lot of interest in supporting soil carbon. Carbon is just kind of a bio marker for soil health, for life and how healthy an ecosystem is. When you have a system that's in balance, it's very diverse. We've had a tremendous increase in the presence of gophers on our ranch. But what we've realized, we don't use any poisons or anything at all in our ranch. The number of rapturs went up pretty dramatically when we started to see the increase in the gopher population. It balances itself out this way.
