The Third Level of the Theory of Virtue
The way we construct our life story, the content of it, the meaning system that really energizes us is a whole other level of information. And I think that's where we are a little bit unique in our theory of virtue in saying not only is it having particular types of habits that lead to thriving and flourishing of relationships but you have to have those habits tied to a story that is bigger than the self. So we use the term transcendent. You could use the term moral that it's something that's not self-centered, is that it's centered on something bigger.
